Opportunities at Nottingham Credit Union
Volunteering
Every NCU collection point is run by volunteers. Perhaps the nearest collection
point is a bus ride away from you: perhaps you would like to see one closer
to home. If so, all it takes is for you and three or four other people
to commit to a couple of hours, maybe even just one hour, per week. Full
training is given in how to run a collection point (basically, you collect
people's deposits and enter them on a record sheet, then deposit them
at a nearby Post Office or bank). It's not too difficult, it's a way to
meet people and help out your neighbours, and it can even be good fun.
Alternatively, if you don't feel like handling money,
there are always vast teetering mounds of paperwork in the office. Perhaps
you could help with a little typing every now and again?
Volunteering is a great way of getting experience & qualifications, and everyone is welcome.
If you're interested in helping us to help
people, please call the office for a chat, or drop us an email. Alternatively,
you could print out and fill in the Volunteer Expression of Interest form
which is available here.
